Salina is the most verdant island of the archipelago and it consists of two twin volcanoes, Monte dei Porri e Monte Fossa delle Felci.
It is the only island of the Aeolian archipelago that is outside the town of Lipari, but rather is divided in three municipalities: Santa Marina di Salina – which also includes the village of Lingua – Malfa – which also includes Pollara – and finally Leni with the beautiful port of Rinella.

Capital of Sicily, Palermo is one of the most beautiful and most visited city in Italy.
Its name has undergone many transformations during the centuries. It was originally called Ziz – meaning flower – by the Phoenicians, Panormos by the Greek, Panormus by the Romans, Balharm by the Arabs and Balermus by the Normans. Its present name derives from the greek Panormos that meaning “all port”. Indeed the two main rivers crossing the city, Kemonia and Papireto, created a large natural harbor.
The history of Palermo is full of attacks, invasions and conquests by foreign peoples, including the Sicani, the Greeks, the Phoenicians, the Romans, the Arabs, the Byzantines, the Normans, the Angevin, the Aragonese, the Spanish and the French. Marettimo is beautiful and unspoilt island, measuring about 12 square kilometers and is about 30 km from the coast of Sicily.
It is the most mountainous island of the archipelago of Egadi and its highest mountain is Monte Falcone that is 686 meters high above sea level.

Levanzo with about 6 sq km is the smallest island of the Egadi and its highest mountain, Pizzo Monaco, reaches 270 meters above sea level.
The ancient Roman name of Levanzo was Phorbantia, that was the name of a particular spice that was on the island.
It’s an unspoilt island; there is only one road that runs from north to south and the country situated on the shore of Cala Dogana is a very small downtown with few inhabitants and a marina.

Favignana is the main island of the archipelago of Egadi. It’s about 7 Km from Trapani and has an area of about 20 sq. km.
Its name is due to wind “Favonio”, while in ancient times was called Aegusa. It is known for its butterfly shape with outstretched wings leaning on a turquoise sea.
